A full time farrier and equestrian based in the Manawatu, Bernard rides at the top level of show jumping. We asked him to introduce us to his horses.
Bernard's showjumpers
Bernard's Grand Prix showjumper BSF Sequel is a 16.2 hh chestnut mare By Linberg Des Hayettes, purchased from Butch and Lou Thomas in 2014.
Bernard is also riding 10 year old grey mare Electra NZPH (above). She is by Untouchable M, out of a Mr Blue mare, who was bred by the Hansen's at NZPH.
Also in the team is 7 year old BSF First Edition (below), who stepped up to 1.20-1.25m this season with some wins and placings. BSF First Edition is bred by Bernard and Partner Sarah, out of Bernard's world cup mare Suzuki.
